So Sure offers powerful inherent anti bacterial properties, protecting you for the lifetime of the product


Antibacterial viscose blending fibre

So Sure fibre can be blended with other standard fibres such as viscose, cotton and polyester to create comfortable fabrics which are inherently safe for over 50 launderings. These fabrics are resistant to the growth of a number of commonly found but unpleasant and dangerous bacteria on the fabric, therefore minimising risks of cross contamination.


Bacteria which So Sure is effective against include:-

  • Staphyloccus aureus

  • Methycillin resistant staphylococccus aureus (MRSA)

  • Klebsiella pneumoniae

  • Pseudomonas aeruginosa


So Sure has been tested and passed SEK tests in Japan. The graph below illustrates the difference between living cells of MRSA existing in a regular (100%) viscose fabric against a So Sure blended fabric (30% So Sure + 70% Cotton)

This graph clearly illustrates that the number of living cells on the So Sure fabric reduced dramatically in the first 4 hours, whereas the living cells were retained and significant proliferation occurred after 12 hours on the standard viscose fabric.


So Sure fabrics are suitable for use in all environments where the risk of bacterial infection is present.


The active antibacterial ingredient is incorporated during the production of the fibre, making it an inherent component. The performance of the fibre only decreases after a significant number of laundering cycles.
